DOCJT Begins Partnership with NW3C

The National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) designed to expand the reach and delivery of specialized training for law enforcement officers throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Through this collaboration, certified NW3C courses will be integrated into Kentucky’s continuing education curriculum, ensuring officers across the state have consistent access to high-quality training. This initiative not only helps law enforcement personnel meet their annual continuing education requirements but also provides them with valuable instruction on critical and emerging areas of crime.

“Thanks to this new partnership, we’re adding more than 30 certified online NW3C courses to DOCJT’s 2026 continuing education catalog,” said DOCJT Assistant Training Director Chip White. “This means officers all over the state will have easy, consistent access to high-quality training — training that not only helps them meet their annual in-service requirements but also gives them the tools they need to tackle today’s toughest and most complex crimes.”

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to equip officers with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively respond to today’s increasingly complex criminal landscape. Courses offered through NW3C will include instruction in cyber investigations, human trafficking, open-source intelligence, connected vehicles, digital forensics, and a variety of other topics related to high-tech and economic crimes. By incorporating these essential subjects into Kentucky's continuing education curriculum, will help ensure officers are better prepared to investigate and combat modern threats impacting communities across the state.

Since 2020, NW3C has provided training to more than 4,700 law enforcement and regulatory professionals in the state of Kentucky. This longstanding engagement underscores NW3C’s commitment to serving Kentucky’s law enforcement community and highlights the value of expanding access to our specialized training portfolio.

The partnership between Kentucky DOCJT and NW3C serves as a forward-thinking model for how national training organizations and state-level criminal justice agencies can collaborate to modernize, streamline, and expand access to vital training opportunities.

“We greatly value this partnership with Kentucky DOCJT, which highlights the strong commitment they’ve made to law enforcement training across the state,” NW3C President and CEO Glen Gainer said. “We hope this serves as a model for other states to follow in the future.”

This important work is made possible through continued funding and support from the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), whose investment ensures that law enforcement agencies nationwide have access to the resources and expertise needed to meet today’s complex public safety challenges.
