First-Line Supervisor’s Course


The Southern Police Institute in Louisville will host its First-Line Supervisor Course, Nov. 16-Nov. 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This course is designed to bridge the gap from officer to supervisor with this 40-hour course designed to build a solid leadership foundation for new and aspiring first-line supervisors. Instruction covers leadership, ethics, evidence-based policing strategies, personnel development, employee wellness, and supervisory liability — the essentials for succeeding in your first command role. Tuition for the KLEC-certified course is $1,000. The course will be held at McCandless Hall, 2303 S. Third Street. Register here.
